In West Yemen, TransGlobe holds a 25% working interest in each of Blocks S-1 and 75. These blocks are operated by Occidental Petroleum, a major U.S. oil and gas exploration company. Both blocks are located in the Marib basin, adjacent to the 1.0+ billion barrels of oil discovered by Hunt Oil. Block S-1, strategically located near production facilities, has been producing light, sweet crude since 2003 from the An Nagyah discovery. The Block 75 exploration concession was ratified by the Yemeni parliament in 2008. 340 square kilometers of 3-D seismic was acquired and processed by 2009 year-end.
